Tendulkar may miss the Caribbean tour


Sachin Tendulkar missed the next cricket tour of West Indies when he feels he has full fitness, it is surely learned today.

According to sources, Tendulkar, who is recovering from a finger injury has sent the selectors he is still unable to 100 per cent and I'd like to go to the day of the series, the first of four games starting June 26th

Tendulkar appeared towards the end of the Indian Premier League last month that the finger injury he suffered during the test series in New Zealand in April was not a blue hair, but a fracture.

Bastman The star is currently in London with his family, as chief selector Krish Srikkanth and Raja Venkat, breeder of the East Zone. BCCI secretary N Srinivasan joined them in England today.

It is not known yet when the team of the West Indies to be announced but sources may be tomorrow, one day after the campaign in India in the Twenty20 World Cup will be in Nottingham.

Left arm paceman Zaheer Khan is also available for the visit and the lack of fitness May be cited as a reason for being.

Switches selection also plays with the idea that removal of Irfan Pathan teller in the Caribbean have been slow and its lack of speed can be a handicap. According to sources, there is little chance to Virender Sehwag who missed the World Cup Twenty20, which makes the Caribbean tour.

India play four matches in one day in the West Indies, with two games scheduled in Jamaica (26 and 28 June) and two in St. Lucia (July 3 and 5).

The Indians are due to depart from himself in England for the West Indies on 22 June.
